cyberuk.me is a personal website run by CyberUK, an individual based in the United Kingdom. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. How I handle personal data is covered separately in the privacy policy.
The free tools (the password tester, recent breaches, security header checker, DNS & email checker, phishing link checker and hash & encoding toolkit) are provided for information and education only.
When using the site and its tools, you must not:
I may block access for anyone who breaks these rules.
Found a security problem with the site? Thank you. Please report it privately through the contact page rather than testing it further.
Unless stated otherwise, the writing, code samples, images and design on this site are © CyberUK. You're welcome to share links and quote short extracts with credit and a link back. Please ask before reusing anything else.
The site is built on Once UI, used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence. Other names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. Breach data comes from Have I Been Pwned under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence, and news headlines link to their original publishers.
If you believe something here infringes your rights, tell me through the contact page and I'll look into it promptly, removing it if needed.
The site links to, and shows content from, other websites. I don't control them and am not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices.
The site and tools are provided free, “as is” and “as available”, without any promise that they will be accurate, complete, secure or always online.
As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or the tools, or from relying on their results, including indirect loss, loss of data or loss of profit.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you're a consumer, your statutory rights where you live are not affected.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, in the EU or in another country whose law gives you the right to bring claims in your local courts, you keep that right.
I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
Questions about these terms? Get in touch through the contact page.
